Got anything for my P-rod ???

I borrowed Darrell's (ddgrego who does all the nice Cerakote painting) P-rod and added a second air tube under the standard one. The original tube is 7/8" dia and holds about 60cc's. The new tube is a full 1" in diameter and adds about 80cc's, to make the total volume be about 140cc's, which is a little more than a stock Discovery. The new tube weighs only about 11 ozs.
The top picture shows how I move the gauge and attached the lower tube. The bottom picture is from after Darrell got his P-rod back and then worked his paint magic on it.
The shroud is 3/4" dia, the stock air tube is 7/8" dia, and the new tube on the bottom is 1" dia, so the set up has a nice stepped appearance.
I've got some plans for this configuration.
edits: added info on cc volumes and tube diameters and weight.

Very interesting ! Curious as to how his shot count changed, along with the balance of the gun.

Dave,
I just edified my original post to add a little more info about volumes and weights.
The new tube adds 11 oz of weight.
Original tank volume is about 60 cc's. New tube adds 80 more (it is a 1" dia tube). Final volume is 140 cc's. For reference, a stock disco has about 130 cc's.
I didn't do any comparison testing when I had the P-rod, but the shot count should double.

Dave,
Yes, I will have a triple barrel band. The band in the second two photos is one that I made. The inside is shaped like a snowman with the three different diameters.
What do you think about the new location for the gauge? Putting it there makes plumbing in the additional tube possible with minimal changes.

Hi all and yes this is my P-rod from Lloyd and first a big THANKS for him for doing this for me! As Lloyd has stated it doubles the shot count as i have over thirty shots and am still above 2000 psi.I took almost 60 before she dropped off for long distance bird shooting but was till hanging in there at the 20 yard range.i refilled it back up to a full 3000 tonight and will empty her again tomorrow. She holds air great with no leaks at all,One question i have been asked already is will the coating crack any under the pressure of the tube expanding and going down.Answer is no!.This used to be a good gun and very accurate but not its outstanding and a whole new gun.Its going to go hunting with me alot in the futere!P-rod holds about 60 C's of air, and the extra tube adds about 80 more Cs to give a total of 140 C's. That is the pretty much the same amount of air as a stock Disco but a bit lighter too!One thing Lloyd did to her that may be of interest with this shot count is that he adjusted it o Maximum power and she still shoots that many shots before refills.I did coat the gun in Ceramic using four colors.Desert tan, Charcoal black,Coyote Tan and stainless steel.I re=did it twice to find the perfect color for me but many colors are available.i have a few pics of how she was done for ya all.Any question about her give me a shout!Lloyd put a new wood forearm on her and the gauge is now in front.I wast sure about he gauge in front but now after using it that's where i believe it needs to be.i also install a triple rail under the forearm so i could put a hand grip on her.for me it helps balance the front end weight better and isn't hold sensitive at all.In my op ion its easier to hold and shoot while standing.Hold the grip while gun rest on forearm.Very steady to shoot.I also put a light on one side of the rail as i like to go bird hunting at night in the pine trees and my neighbors barns.thats alot of fun for me. I got he idea while i was coating one of my Ar's.Hope you all like the pics as it was fun to do.Only problem now is i have to buy another Disco and get me a kit for it!Lloyd did a Fantastic job on this P-Rod and if you all get a chance to get one go for it as there awesome and more then i expected! It was very hard to keep this under wraps and even more so after i got it and still had to wait a few days before showing her off! Thanks again Lloyd!- Darrell

Darrell,
Thanks for the update. The new matching fore stock from Norm really finishes it off nicely. I am glad to see that P-rod Double #1 is still going strong.

Darrell,
You'd have a real blast (literally) around here right now. The starlings are migrating through and land in the trees by the hundreds.
