Cometa Velocities

One of the reasons I started this thread was because I wanted to see what other Cometa owners out there were getting with their "Stock" models, as You can see in my thread I clearly stated that I had replaced my mainsprings with ones that are from/for "Crosman Quest 1000", The chrono I have and use is Combro Mk4, which has supplied me with reliable, consistant data for quite a few years now, and have faith in it's information. I don't appreciate being called a lier, even if it is in a roundabout way.Cheer's, Andy.

         I read all your posts in this topic with great attention and noticed every detail. Besides changing the spring with another one you also mentioned that you use to lubricate your pellets with "Wynn’s Metal Oil" :

 

P.S.,,,I alway's add 3-4 drops of my secret pellet lube to all my pellet tins(It's actually "Wynn's Metal Oil", , It does wonders,,and makes cleaning a snap    

       I don't know the exact composition of this specific oil but if it is a oil byproduct chances are to be ignitable under pressure this leading to dieseling.

     

          I was almost certain that such a situation might occur but there seems to be a misunderstanding here. Nobody called someone a liar or even hinted such a thing. I was only astonished by reading these numbers and all I did was to express my question. I don't know if you made any search in the internet for posts, reviews or videos about the Cometa Fusion velocities, try a bit and you will see that the numbers are somehow different. In conclusion when you post test results in public you always must be ready for possible arguments.

         There is no need for such an aggression to take place here. I  regret to see that something which started as a civilised discussion turns into a fight. 

         For my part there is nothing else to be said. Enjoy your rifles and hopefully some day you will have the data you asked for.

The Cometa Fusion .22 over here in Bulgaria states that the velocity is 902 fps at the muzzle,obviously it doesn't tell you what pellets that was recorded with.
So looking at the figures given,it's very likely with a good tune,the Cometa Fusion .22 could easily reach the quoted figures,that's if the quoted figures are true from the Cometa company themselves.

I considered buying one,but over here they are far more expensive than the Hatsans,although I must say,they do look a nice quality gun

Thank's for the post,,,,If you're looking for a great airgun, then look no further than Cometa, These gun's are power-houses, In my Fenix 400 Deluxe, I'm still sending Baracudas Down range with a nice sonic crack,,Thats 18+gr,..WoW!!. When I first got them, I found them to be a little under-powered, but a simple spring change sends them through the roof(Crosman Quest 1000's), which really surprised me, since a Crosman Quest 1000 in .22 usually produces around 800fps with a 14.3gr Crosman Dome., So, I don't know, could be a stronger/stiffer spring than what the stock Cometas are coming equipped with, at least I know that's the case here in Canada. I would imagine that it depends on where you're located in this world. Cheers, Andy.

Just saying it as I see it advertised over here in Bulgaria.I'm a Brit now living over here,and I do enjoy the freedom that is given to airgunners.

Wanting a .25 now,and Cometa don't do one in that caliber as far as I know...never mind.

Cometas do .25,, http://www.cometaairgun.com/en/cometa_carabinas_400p.html , Their "Fenix" line-up has a beautiful .25 in their "Premier" offerings,,,It looks exactly like my .22 Fenix 400 Premier, Too Bad, I can't get one here,,But I think you'd be able to get them over in the UK quite easily. Thanks for that Andy,only trouble is,I don't live in the uk,I live in Bulgaria.

In the uk I would need an fac "fire arms certificate",license and they are not easy to come by.Even if I could order one in Bulgaria,by the time they put the shipping costs,and more extra profit for the dealers,it would be too expensive...

The rifle does look very nice though.
