Here's the basic rundown of who/what I am, and what I'm doing on this forum which appears to be full of information.
I'm an RN by trade, and a car/gun nut by passion. Until recently I've spent most of my time shooting rimfires, as they are cheaper to shoot than all the other powder burners, and they don't wear you out. I love my rimfires.
Anywho a few yrs ago my dad gave me a Beeman Falcon II to rebuild, it was brought into the store he works at with the request to just take it off the Prev. Owners hands...so they did so, and after a call to Beeman, and less than 20 bucks spent I have a working rifle. Since the rebuild I tested the gun to make sure it worked and put in the safe for a cpl years. Recently given my lack of time to make it out the the range I thought "Why not break out the old Beeman, and have a go, so I built a "silent trap" and took some targets out. Of course being a Powder burner I was ignorant to the "artillery hold" and my groups have been disappointing. I hope to find the time in the next cpl of days to shoot again this time trying a light touch. I've also ordered an assortment of pellets to try out.
I also have a cheap crossman CO2 pistol which is shockingly accurate with cheap crossman competition pellets. Now to see if the neighbors notice the pops in the backyard or not.
I'm now contemplating another air rifle, I'm undecided on PCP style or another springer. I guess it depends on how well the artillery hold agrees with me. The quieter the better, as I don't need any unwanted attention.

Well I shot the old Beeman again last night using the best artillery hold I could manage (seriously an unnatural way to shoot.) and my results were still wet poor. The wife wanted to give it a shot, and she did make me feel good, She hit the fence when aimed @ the target. I'm on paper, but not accurate at all. So, I have ordered pellets from PyramidAir, and a QB78D from Mike. the pellets should be here early next week, so I'll play with them to see what I can achieve w/ better pellets. Then the QB will likely be in the following week, and I'll play with it.
My cheap little CO2 pistol is a Gamo PT80(for some reason I can't seem to remember this more than a day). The trigger pull reminds me of a very bad revolver. however you can single action it, which makes shooting it a little more "normal". But since I often carry a revolver I figure If I can tear up the center double action, then I'm doing good.
