Looks Like Compasseco Sold To Pyramyd Air

Yep got the email today. Now Pyramyd will carry the Chines Line of Air Guns. Could mean price increase or maybe will stay the same for a while.

In less than ten years Pyramyd has bought or absorbed at least three online air gun retailers that I know of. As they strive to give us more, they also are capable of price control. I hope they are not letting the almight dollar take control over air guns and accessories sales. I love doing business with Pyramyd air and have done so for many years now. But as time passes things change.

I also have done allot of business with Straightshooters as well. Kevin and partner offer some very nice serivice. There prices are not always in line with the other guys but the quality of service and information you will not find in other retailers. They are hands on guys.

Another company "Precision Air" is a great place to buy as well. Have done lots of business with Jim and his wife. Jim is very knowledgable and they offer great service as well.

Stephen and wife at Archer Air guns are another great company to do business with. They offer lots of options and that is great for us.

I've always had good results with Pyramid Air, ... but this does bear watching. Competition is always a good idea, - instills some needed balance.

PA does have great customer service, they are 45 min from my house so i recieve orders in one day, and their selection is the best by FAR,  but I have yet to see them have the best price on ANYTHING that i have ever bought concerning airguns. I hope that they don't raise prices at compasseco...that would be crappy! there are some places that have items priced only roughly 70 or more percent of what PA charges. thats the only thing that i dislike of PA.

The main thing these days is guys like Pyramyd and AOA acquire distribution rights for off shore air guns purchasing. This is the key. You will notice that many of the on line air gun shops carry certain models and they can ask any price they want. Because they have the exclusive rights to sell and distrubute to competitors here in the US. To bad manufacturers do not have more distributorships like Crosmand does or Air Force Air guns. These guys are US based and you can find there guns any where on line. Only exception is Gamo a US based Spanish air gun maker who is into marketing sales and most all their products are over priced IMO.

I feel there should be more distributors here and this would curtail the monopoly that are controlling pricing.

Look's like PA is going to play the Wally World game on us AG lover's,buy out or under sale everyone till they have the market then charge what they want as they no longer have any competition left.

Gene and I chewed the fat about this and it kind of worries me since I order part's from Compasseco from time to time for tunes. PA has never been big on spare part's etc. for shooters as far as I'm concerned and losing some of the other companies may involve losing access to part's for some of the China shooter's. Something to think about when thinking about what China shooter you want to invest in. Ed
