There are a lot of other minor differences between the guns besides just the throat diameter.... The valve stem diameter, and the valve exhaust port diameter, for example.... In both cases, the area of the valve throat less the stem is larger than the exhaust port, so I doubt that has a significant effect on the outcome.... I wasn't trying to duplicate every single dimension in both guns, I don't even know if that is possible.... The bottom line is that they produce VERY similar results....

Nice job Bob. UIt is very difficult to get two guns to do the same exact same thing. Mechanical devices have a way of doing that.
Your about ready to build from scratch or at least get some 4130 and start bldg your own bottoms completely.

Been there done doing that.... check out my Hayabusa project.... started over a year ago....

It's a work still in progress, and I'm learning from it every time I work on it.... Eventually (now that my barrels are here) there will be .308, 9mm, .457, and even a .410 shotgun version.... Some will be regulated, some not.... and I'm guessing it will take another couple of years to complete.... (is a project like this EVER complete?)....
