Thanks Dave  for having such a passion for air guns, and posting the different things you come up with, I personally enjoy your shared adventures. looks like I will be buying a used spring type scale, now that I seen that video, before I was using my digital scale.

 Like I said before in another post, we have 'the web' now day's, the proper information is out there.
 if  your are good mechanically inclined individual, you can learn for your self. the results will let you know, just like anything else. delrin spring guides, friction washers, how to buy, make your own, install , the information is there.

Cocking effort on the WFH with the XL gas spring is just about 49lbs....after trying to average over 10 tries.
I would estimate the N-Forcer Yellow I had in it was 60-65lbs effort.

Today, I ran a string across the chrony with the .22 and XL gas spring. Avg: 947fps...(29.48fpe) almost consistently...spread was 3fps.
I never used the N-Forcer in the .22....only in the .25. Avg FPE was 32 .....here is the string....before the stock broke:
