Stoeger X10 finally got some glass! First testing!

I have been enjoying my disco for far to long while my x10 has just been collecting dust. I put a stop to it and finally put some glass on it to see what it can do. It has a leapers fixed 4x mildot AO scope along with a 1 piece mount. I tested various different .177 cal pellets with most printing groups in the .25" ctc range for 5 shots at 10 yards. One pellet I tested though just blew my mind! This X10 just loves jsb 10.34gr pellets. Groups measured just .20" outside diameter!! Considering the pellet is .177 cal in diameter you do the math. My gut tells me this thing will be deadly both in accuracy and killing out to 30 yards. Could be useful further but I feel more confident with the .22 cal disco. The only thing I can't stand about the x10 is the trigger. It's a bit on the heavy side and has enough creep for days. The trigger also seems to far foward for my liking. Other than that it's a great rifle and can't wait to try her out in the field!

That's fine accuracy.  Order and install a GRTIII and your trigger issues will be solved.

I'll get that trigger ordered asap! If I can eliminate the creep along with bringing the blade further back and reducing the pull weight, this rifle will be perfect! It's the only thing I find wrong with it. I have to get the chrony out and see what kind of velocity Im getting from the jsb 10.34gr. I've tested it with pellets in the 7gr area and I was getting 950+ with really tight strings after she setteled in.  If she can spit the 10.34gr at 750+ I'll be as happy as a 13 year old girl at a Justin bieber concert!
