Nomadic,
You may have seen that I just bought a Webley ValueMax .22 and while I was at the shop I had to choose between the ValueMax and the Striker 1000, and I'm absolutely sure these two are the same thing as they are both made by Hatsan. They have slightly different stocks and muzzle breaks or whatever that lump of plastic on the end of the barrel really is,, but apart from that they appear the same. The Webley fitted my hold a little better so I chose that one but if it does turn out to be the same as the Striker, I can say it will please many of its potential owners. Neither of them is a powerhouse and although the Webley was advertised as an 800fps in .22,, the Striker 1000 is advertised as 750fps, which is more like what I did get out of the ValueMax once I chorny'd it. It averages out at 17ft-lb at the muzzle which is more than enough for me. It's such a sweet rifle to fire, light and easily moved arund and it shoots very well, not perfect but very well. I haven't scoped it yet but I sure like the glowup red and green open sights on the ValueMax. The Striker and ValueMax are great lookers too. Yes, I can see them both satisfying many owners... The cost of the ValueMax was a few dollars more than the Striker but not much, and they are indeed cheaper than the Model 95 was... At a guess I'd say they all perform much the same although the Model 95 may have a different trigger system...
I still though, like the looks of the Model 95 with its timber stock. Very similar to the two above in looks...

i almost got one but went with the black polymer cause it's more practical and, well, i'm cheap. i also think the wood striker is more attractive than the wood 95.

I would have got one too, but they only brought 5 of the 1000X into NZ and theres no plans for any more, still thinking of ordering a stock from overseas though at some point lol.

honestly, if mine performs well after break-in i may have to get the .22 in camo. also this or an 85 in .25 would be cool.
