As I stated in earlier reviews I had to take the bolt out to clean up things a little. While the bolt was out I also polished the bore with JB Bore cleaner and SIMICHROME polishing compound.
5 shot group with Winchester .22 Hunter pellets 14.5 gr 4 pumps 60' Shot when rifle was new.
same target same Group
I tried Winchester 14.5 gr, JSB Diablo Exact Jumbo Express 14.3 gr, and Beeman FTS Double Gold 14.72 gr for accuracy. The winchester's did the best. However, just like the .177 Rebel there is random flyers and inconsistant grouping.
These 5 shot groups were at 60' or 20 Yards and scope (Bug Buster 3-9x2 AO) set on 5x. Scope was adjusted at 4 pump level. It was mid afternoon very good weather. Slight Overcast and no wind. I shoot from my basement which has a clearstory window at about chest height and goes out 10' under deck. I am using a bean bag to hold forearm and cross left hand under stock to steady rifle. The target is Birchwood Casey self stick 12" square with 1" Grid. The large middle Diamond is 3 1/4" square and four smaller diamonds are 2" square (measured to end of Black area)
These are all 5 shot groups and the Point of Aim is the bullseye center diamond. The exception being the 1 and 2 pumps the POA is the Orange dot at top of center diamond.
Here is the 1 & 2 Pump Groups
Close up of 1 Pump The small grid lines are 1" square
Close up of 2 Pumps
3 Pumps
4 Pumps
5 Pumps
6 Pumps
7 Pumps
8 Pumps 1st shot bullseye 2 & 3 shots next ones out almost 1 holler 4 & 5 go out anti clock.
The Rebel has done better than it has done its best so far. I think that with some time the groups will get better. The problem seems to be you just don't know where it is going to group when starting the shooting session. I have a pole behind the target and I hang small water filled balloons on it to shoot at. I leave the busted balloons hanging and shoot them. With the Rebel .22 I was able to hit the balloon once in five shots. I can hit it 5 out of 5 with my Daisy 853 with peep sights.

Thanks for the excellent review. I bought a Rebel .177 as soon as I could. Mine is very accurate with JSB 8.44 grain pellets. It's not bad with other pellets. I didn't like the trigger at first but got used to it. I have a 22 being shipped to me now -- hope it is a good as the 17. I am a pumper fan, have several Crosman/Sheridan pumpers and a few Crosman 1377 pistol, carbine and rifle configurations. These Rebels are a good addition to the collection.
