Remington Npss Short Stroke

I am thinking about adding a rifle to my collection. I have been contemplating the Remington npss or the Stoeger x20
Nitro piston or very silent springer. To this point I am a CO2 and pumper guy wanting to move into new territory
Please tell me the good,bad and the ugly.

If you want great power, nice trigger and a real Walnut stock, a Hatsan Model 95 Walnut like the one I am selling would be just great, especailly for $115!

What do you intend to do with it?  What caliber?

Stoeger's are fully supported by @SSS$$$ they are a BAM B19 variant so need an after market trigger.   The Remington, another Crosman nitro variant havn't shot that version but the Chinese Trails/Titans are made by BAM as well and more often than not benefit from strip tuning.

For a first springer I would get a sub $80 tuned B12 in either .177 or .22 from Mike at flying dragon.  best bang for a buck, and everyone who picks it up smiles.

thanks huklberry. Wil take the info under advisement. It wouldbe easier to just buy them all and sort it out at the range. LOL

I have an NPSS .22.  I prefer the gas piston to the springer I own (Gamo Shadow 1000).
I also have a Crosman Titan GP & Benji Trail NP.  I cleaned and re-lubed the NPSS and the Titan.  The Benji was tuned before I bought it.  The NPSS is the least hold-sensitive of all of them.  It is also the most accurate.  It was the quietest of the three, but the gas piston cushion deteriorated, and jammed up in the tube.  It bound up the action, but I forced it any way, and I think I have (slightly) bent the cocking arm.
Having said all of this, I would still recommend any and/or all four of the rifles listed above.  All of them have a CharlieDaTuna trigger.

If I had $150 or less to spend, I buy a refurb'd Titan in a heartbeat.
