If its on the wood part, just use a water-dampened cloth. If its on the metal, use a cloth dampened with any gun oil.

If you really want your stocks to look good use "Old English" furniture polish on them. I use this on all my wood gun stocks. I oil them up good, they are kind of wet at first, then it soaks in overnight, were the stock does not feel oily. It really brings out the grain in the wood.
