28 schools of 38 represented were using the Crosman Challenger (74%)
Top two individual shooters - Flowing Wells HS, AZ - Crosman Challengers
Top Army winning team Flowing Wells HS, AZ Crosman Challengers
Top MC winning team R-S Central HS, NC Crosman Challengers

That is cool.
I want to get one so I can compete at the local shooting club.
I will someday.

Yup
Daisy got left behind.
Daisy only updated the stock of the 888 to be similar to the 753.
And they went "backwards" by sourcing the sights from China, of lower quality than the original Gamo sights (which I think Crossman is using).
Nothing much else.
I did read that Daisy is prototyping new adjustable stocks for some of the rifles, but that isn't upgrading the mechanism, especially the crummy stock trigger.
IF AirForce gets its act together and can get the Edge shooting well, that is another rifle that will take away from Daisy's dominance in the market. Right now the Edge is not as accurate as the Daisys. But the rifle has potential, and I understand that the sights are better than the Gamo sights, and WAY better than the Chinese clone of the Gamo sight.
Makes me glad that I did not buy a Daisy/Avanti 887.
I will have to check what the coaches on TargetTalk.org have to say about the Challenger 2009.
But to put it in perspective.
The Daisy/Avanti 888 is a bit above $300, the 887 is a bit under $400.
Both the Crossman 2009 and AirForce Edge are up at $600.
