Hello Everyone,
First, I want to thank everyone for all the responses and interest in the Disco Double kit. It has been much greater than I expected and the first batch of kits..... the Beta test kits..... are all spoken for. The Beta test kits are still several weeks away and are, in reality, the first production batch of parts. They are made on CNC and will be fully pressure tested and supplied without finish, i.e., "in the white." Other than the finish, they are production parts. Once a few of the Beta test kits have been installed and I get feedback that everything is good to go, I will be producing the second batch, which will be actual "production," rather than Beta.

Spring is still the anticipated delivery for the production kits, but the actual delivery date is still a little up in the air. I am working hard to have everything ready as soon as possible.

Some folks have PM'd me with specific questions and I'll post the answers here to a couple of them.

1) The first is about a special carbine length kit. Yes, I can do that. Because both the original and the second tube must be the same length at the front, you would have to send me your Disco tube so that it can be shortened, too, unless that has already been done. That length can be whatever you want.

2) Modifying your stock and/or installation of your kit, and/or building the entire gun for you. I have lined up at least one person, possibly two, who will be providing those services. Both are long standing GTA folks and are known for the type of work they do and the quality of the work they do. Plus, they are just darn nice guys! I will be posting info about that on the Airgun Lab site within the next few weeks.

3) Pricing. I wish I could give you an answer on that right now, but some of my costs are still not finalized. I will post those as soon as I have all the answers, but I will keep them as low as I can, especially at the beginning.

4) Barrel bands. Be thinking about that. I will be posting some drawings on the Airgunlab site very soon. There will be some choices to accommodate various setups.

5) Finishes. Matte stainless, blued steel, powder coated, GunKote in various shades?

Suggestions?

So again, thanks to all of you for helping make the Disco Double kit a reality. I will be sending an email every week or two and if I have received new questions, I will include those with answers in the email.

It adds a second air tank and doubles the air volume.
Go to the website and take a look. It explains it pretty well.

If you are shooting a stock disco and are happy with the shot count you are getting, it might not be of much use to you. But if you have upped the power or caliber on your Disco and feel like you have to refill too often, this will do the trick. Folks who carry the gun in the field all day, or hunt with high power will be interested.

Also people with carbines where they have shortened the air tube and run out of air too soon.

Here is one of Gene's prototype Multi Shot breeches installed on the Disco Double kit, and installed in a QB78/79 stock. Multi-shots need air, right? My work can usually be classified as "functional," but I think this is a little better than that. The breech is also tall enough for a shroud if I want to add one, and I need to make a 3-hole barrel band.
So, I hope I have done justice to this breech from Gene.

lloyd i signed up on your site for my 25 cal bnm disco did i make first run or am i on waiting list?

this is what she looks like just need bobs heavy spring and your air tube. she is currently shooting a max of 760fps with JSB Kings @2200 for 14 shots till she dips to 698

Didn't make it on the first batch, but you won't be too far behind that first wave. I haven't shipped anything yet, but I plan on doing an update email this weekend to folks who have signed up.

Will you be offering this kit in a raw or no finish option? Also two barrel bands is a popular mod for the disco. Will you be offering a second barrel band as an option or is it not necessary with your barrel band?

Great work! I've been chasing power with my disco lately at the cost of usable shots. It would be great to get my shot count back up and your kit seems to be just what I'm looking for.

Mike, well, the kit should restore the shot count for you.
I have a few different kinds of barrel bands going right now and optional 2nd bands will be available. The two tubes are actually bolted together at the very front end, so they are pretty stable. Still, the barrel is the critical item.

Yes, the kit will be available "in the white," and all the early kits will be that way. The first beta kits are going out in the next few days.

Hello again everyone,
A lot has been going on behind the scenes with the Disco Double getting some of the beta kits shipped (there are still a few more folks on the beta list that I will be contacting), and getting the production details all worked out.

The big news is that I will be posting pricing details on the Disco Double website this coming weekend (April 8th).

The pricing has worked out favorably and I am happy to say that the price will fall near the middle of the range that I originally mentioned in the General FAQ section on the website.

Glad to see everything coming together nicely! Quick question: Can the top fill cap be modified to be able to fit a tko or similar device for a standard breech disco? (no riser or shroud set-up)

my 2 cents, i dont see why it cant be. i havent asked about the tube caps but from tpatners video reviews they look like standard crosman disco fill adapter caps or lloyd made them from delrin

The caps and the fill nipple are more compact than the original Crosman ones. In the picture you can see that it is actually machined as part of the tube plug. But yes, notching the Delrin cap to miss the LDC is no big deal. The real nice part is that the fill nipple is located on the lower tube, so your fill hose adapter isn't trying to scrape the side of the LDC every time you try and ad some air.
The picture shows the tubes upside down. The blank one goes into the original tube right near the LDC. There should not be any clearance issues that can't be fixed with a little material removal with a file. Lloyd
