I'm going to help Stanley and Brett moderate over in the Shooting Match Gate. As such I'll be shooting in my normal 10yd/m matches and know which rifles I'm using (but it's a secret!).
I have no idea what to use in the 50' Casual (anything goes) match or the 25 yd Open Sight. Decisions decisions. I think 25yd I'll use a Diana 34 .22 and 50' a Vortek B28 .25.
Do any of you subscribe to the theory of "beware of the man with one gun?"
Come on over to the Shooting Matches. They're fun, they're free and they'll definitely improve your shooting. Heck they might make you look younger and skinnier too!

10-15yds-Daisy 953
10-50 B-25 in .22..Open sighted .least thats what I got it for, its still being ironed out. Hunting/varmit/truck gun
10-60 yds target or hunting AR2078 in .22, MM tweaked
10-80 yds hunting Steroid in .22
10-100 yds larger hunting 909s
only have a couple more guns, some junkers that need some work.
Trying to get down to 1-2 but just can't. Truthfully, I could do without the ar or the 953. Just cause they aren't a NECESSITY, and the AR is dependant on gas.
But honestly, I might choose the steroid over a .22 in a "grab a couple guns and go" situation.
A .270 for big game and animal defense, and really anything small....I'd trust the steroid out to 50 yds.
Good to see ya, Andy.
God bless,
Farmer

Oh yes ive got my favorites. For long range out to 100+ yds is my 470. She is sweet and accurate.
My 177 350 is a close 2nd for long range work.
Under 40 i can use both of the above or either of my 22 350's or my 2250. I always try to out do myself with harder shots but can only stretch it out to about 25 yds at my house now. Anything farther has to go to the lake.
For open sights man id have to dig out an old pumper.

That is how you justify all of them. Use them for different ranges and applications.
10m= LGV Olympia
10-15m= 30S
15-20m= 50S
20-30m= 95
30m+ =77

I only have an 880 and a 760.
The 760 is my open sight gun for 10-15yards...the 880 I got rid of the open sights and its scope only.
I'm gonna try the 50 ft match with the 880...printed out the target papers tonight during class lol.
I'm ready for some paper punching tomorrow woohoo...excited for my first internet air rifle match

My Daisy 953 for 10 meter off-hand, the old Winchester 435 for 25 yard bench-rested, and the FWB 124 for 30 yards. I think that once I get used to shooting the model 34 in .22, it may replace one of my longer-range guns- not for sure yet.

What a great question.
Daisy853 5-20 yds. p-rod 25-50. Disco 40-60. Beeman R9 and Dynamax 60-75.
Marauder .25 75-105. 105 is my furthest confirmed ground squirrel.
I have a few others that are under construction

If in a controlled environment or free of wind, under 25 yards .... My 10 meter match rifle a Diana 75 will stack pellets and make you the shooter see first hand that you not so good !! if pellets are not dang near landing on top of each other.
Field easy and dang accurate within 50 yards the FWB 124 sporter ... these rifles got there reputation for a reason.
IF you can deal with "Pump You Up" the PCP's can be smoother than a recoil less match rifle, as accurate too while hitting very very hard with heavier pellets !!
** Fortunately have a few of the best of the best from years of shooting/collecting so I'm biased somewhat
Yes, made kill shots in excess of 100 yards many times, but in my years shooting air rifles feel taking much of any game beyond 50 yards is just not realistic.
These are air rifles and not powder burners !!!

Good thoughts here. Some are keep it simple and follow the "one gun" route!
Now some of the feedback got me to thinking I might try a bunch of "old" and goofy rifles especially in open sight matches. Trying to line up the dance card for some weekend shooting. Looks like it's going to warm up to 30 degrees this weekend.
Really looking forward to seeing some of your scores over in the Shooting match gates!

25 yards or less = R7
25 yards or more = pro sport
Not a hard rule, more of a guideline that seems to work OK.

All my springers are pretty well broken in so they`re all good up to 40+ yards. Getting about 1 1/2" groups....sometimes better. For me it`s the quality of the pellets that will determine the best shots/groups (Excluding human error).
My PCP air rifles can give me -2" groups out to 70+ yards.....they also need to be experimented with better quality pellets to get the most potential outta them.

10y - Scoped Daisy 850 (like the 953/853/753), pistol: p17
15y - Crosman 2100, opensight. + Daisy 850
20y - Sheridan Blue Streak, opensight.
25y -
30y -
I'm waiting on getting a PCP, till then i'm keeping under 25y. Another route i could try is steroiding my 392, but then i'd need to need to get it scoped... my eyesight isn't too good past 20y
Open sight with the 850 i was stacking pellets on top of pellets in the duct seal. Scoped is just "cheating" on this platform (SSP).
