HW 95 or a D34 in 22

Lizzie is spot on. 2 34's sounds better to the greedy part of me.  My 34p became a very smooth rifle, accurate to use in HFT after shooting 1000 or so pellets through it, no tune.  My 48r with a tune and trigger tune by Rob Hawkins had a very nice t05 trigger, not as good as my HW 97 or R9, but light and very useable in FT.  My R9 is still a bit buzzy, after I have lubed, polished, and replaced both seals.  In these tough times, I'm starting to ask.. is a .22 R9 really as good as TWO Diana 34's..(Rekord v t-06, same power, 34 a bit less accurate, but just a bit....)

Is it really as big a difference as has been stated... German quality..absolutely,  HW superiority.. yes,  Best Value..ahhh I don't know...

the answer with the HW is build quality and accuracy not power, the 34's will usually shoot alittle harder than the R9/HW95 and the Dianas are not as refinded! JMHO

I have never shot an hw but i love my RWS's. They are nice shooters and with a little work they are saweet! The t06 triggers are nice but there is nothing wrong with the 05 triggers. You will probably loose a little power with vortek kits but they smooth out the shot cycle so much its well worth it.

I equate the HW vs. RWS debate to driving a Honda or driving a BMW.  Both do the same thing and they do it with the same amount of efficiency.  For this debate we could say accuracy.  Or twanginess.  The HW will look better but the RWS gives up nothing in the performance department.  The tipping point for me is that both need or greatly benefit from a tune or spring/guide kit.

To me, the RWS is the pragmatist's shooter, lol. I love model 34's, and my third one should hopefully be sitting in the post office. I'd love to have an HW30, but if I did, I would probably be hesitant to shoot it, because I'd be afraid of marring it.
