I have an "Uncle Mike's" barrel band on every one of my ARs and it works perfectly. Mounted about 2 inches out from the stock, it doesn't apply any undue stress to the rifle and it is fast and easy to mount and compared with any alternatives I've explored, cheap. These mounts are made in sizes that fit almost all of the magnum and non-magnum ARs. I have 3 of these on NVs and they work really well. Here is a pic I have of one on my Blackhawk:
Dave,Marlin .357 Magnum 1894C Carbine, .540-.590", Part # 1051-2http://www.unclemikes.com/products/marlin357magnum1894c_carbine.htmlThis fits all known Nitro Venoms since I am using it on both of mine in .177 and .22 Cal.This is the one on the Blackhawk in the picture. Although the Blackhawk barrel measures .595", the band still fits it perfectly.
Dave,Absolutely not. I have had ZERO problems with these mounts on 6 rifles from Ruger, Crosman and RWS.
