If anyone's familiar with the new "Dual Survivor" show you might also know these guys.
Dave "Pathfinder" Canterbury is one of the stars and he's been making youtube videos for quite a while.
This video was put out by one of his crew as I suspect Dave is rather busy these days.
I have not seen anyone clean a squirrel this way before.

Thanks for sharing Jim and I've never seen a nutter skinned like that. I watch that show you mentioned along with the other survivor show's knowledge is power when your out in Ma Nature. Ed

thats how i skin rabbits and squirrels when im not keeping the hides.rabbits are alot easier you dont even  need a knife

That's how I skin my rabbits and it does work very well.  I use the "tail slice" method for my squirrels however, I find it easier.  Great video, thanks for posting it, I really enjoyed it

I had to watch twice to really be sure I heard it right the first time. He said that he has shot 83, (eighty three), whitetails. He dosent look to be an old man; thats an incredible number of deer for his age. Where does he hunt, anyone know? Must have had an early start in life as a deer hunter!!

In some states the regs will literally let you shoot a deer a day during certain periods of the season, at least that's what I've been told.  Perhaps that's how he amassed so many harvests ?  Just a guess on my part.

Re: getting so many deer.

I'm pretty sure you can get at least one a day if you drive US-52 without your lights on at dawn and dusk.

Seriously, though, if you've got a problem on a farm (who doesn't) the state will often issue multiple tags at any time during the year. Start early enough in life and you can get a lot of deer that way.

I think our tenant farmer out in Indiana took 8 one year that way, trying to keep some of his soybeans and corn.

I think I can handle it with some mild salsa   My stomach can't take very spicy food these days, but not sure how to substitute the frying.  I have cut out all fried food.  Trying to eat a little healthier..  I guess I could brown the meat in water first.. This dieting/eating healthy not worthy, but I 'm down 10lbs!  The first 10 were easy.  It's the last 10 I 'm having trouble with

Harry, a bit of browning in olive or grape seed oil isn't likely to be much of a factor. In fact, you may be working in a counter productive manner. Small amounts of fats and oils, like olive oil are beneficial and can help you feel full longer. BTW, a tsp of olive oil is about 60 calories. Not much, when you consider that most of it will be left in the pan, and that you're only going to eat PART of that meat at one sitting.

Take a hard look at your carbohydrates, though. It's SHOCKING how many calories we get from carbs and how quickly we feel hungry after eating them. I'm not advocating Atkins or anything, but the only way I stay smaller than a house is by controlling my carbohydrate intake. If I don't, I pick up weight fast.

Also, a great cheat is to increase your fiber intake. More high fiber vegetables is great, but also psyllium husk with V-8 is my trick.

I'd say, trim your simple carbs down as low as possible, and pare back the complex a tiny bit (if need be), increase your fiber, and scout the woods a couple times more a week and you'll drop that 10 before Halloween.

Yep, in Alabama we are allowed a deer a day for most of the hunting season.
