Hi all!
Living in Belgium, Europe, we have zero to no access to firearms, but fortunately we do have access to airguns and they are not overly regulated like in other European countries, meaning you can have all the FPE you want....you just cannot use them for actual hunting or even pest control
I own a Hatsan Vectis lever action (.22) which was the first PCP I bought and is dead-accurate at 35m and eats any pellet or slug you throw at it (at least the quality ones...). Recently I purchased a JTS Airacuda Max (.25) and a Hatsan Velox (.22). I also own the Umarex Walther lever action (.177) CO2 powered rifle which is great fun to shoot and very accurate.
Decided to join because I want to learn more about optimizing my PCP so that I get a decent shot count at as high a velocity as possible. E.g. with the Vectis I was not happy with the way it shot out of the box because I had to refill after about 14 shots. With some hammer spring adjustment I am now at around 40 shots, but the velocity is a bit variable (non-regulated) and on average around 850 for a 16 grain pellet. Not bad, but I would prefer an average of 900 or 920 and sacrifice 10 shots ... if that is possible. Topics on performance optimization are hugely interesting so hoping to learn a lot from those.
