I stayed out past 12 am Saturday night, outside that is, watching the yard with the THOR Lt. on my Airspeed. No pest spotted but I did get some needed thermal viewing in, to get used to the world as viewed through thermal.

I took 4 more Ghogs out today w/ my .25 Ranger. Just on the way out of the main farm when I noticed 3 on the hillside. I drove over to the barn & cut through the close pasture & over the hill. A sprayer was just arriving which provided some noise & distraction for me to get above the holes to wait for them to reappear . The plan worked & in a few minutes a head appeared at 33 yards. It got a 26.5gr Hades through it. Only a few more minutes passed when another showed itselfDeja Vu ( all over again ). I looked to my right & saw another worthy subject of the Stoeger's attention (40yrds) . Yeah it took one to the noggin too. Swinging back to the first spot I see another larger head (Momma). She got the same treatment. This all took less than 10 minutes! These holes were about 3ft deep almost straight down & the hogs were on the lip of them ,so they fell straight back into the"abyss".I wasn't about to stretch an arm down for recovery , no thank you! I'llleave that for the fox or coyote. All told I spied 11 hogs in the 3 fields, and I did cheat a bit , I took another one at 98 yards w/ a .22 magnum , Please don't hold that against me or say bad things about me .
