Air gun cleaning

Hello folks..what are you using for cleaning your airguns? Hoppies #9 ok to use? Or will it eat rubber orings..what should i use

A lot of folks use ballistol on patches pulled through with weedeater line with a melted head at the end to secure the patch.  Pull through until clean, then run a few dry patches.  Keep ballistol away from orings if possible.

   Thank you sir. Ive been out of the scene and have completely forgotten everything..its horrible.  There is nothing wrong with me or anything like that..i dont think..haha.
   Now i remember a thread that showed how to make the device you are talking about.
   Do you happen to know if that product is safe on springer seals. Should it come in contact with them? Here is my situation.
 As i have mentioned ive been out of the scene i now have my springers shooting fantastic  better then ever.  Maybe its me and my fantastic rifleman skills..HAHAHA..NOPE!.. i believe both of my springers have enough pellets through them they are finally settling down. Everything is breaking in,  and smoothing out. But i noticed my guns are starting to look a little dry.
What is the smart thing to do .
Perhaps now is a perfect time to completely disassemble and clean .
Or is it better to just give it a quick once over and be done with it.
Im not sure what cleaning intervals are required.
If ithey were one of my centerfire fires i would disassemble and thoroughly clean.
Please direct  if possible.

You could just pull dry patches through the barrel.  You won't  get the lead fouling as you would with a firearm.  A bit of oil on the pivot and the latch are a good idea.  That should keep you going for quite awhile.  I only use solvent on a new barrel as I don't know what factory crud will be in there.  Happy Thanksgiving yourself.

LOL......like this first patch pulled through a brand new "straight from the box" .177 Beeman R9 bore decades ago (the price tag should give an idea of the "vintage").........
