Banned from forum

I was traveling this week and linked up to the hotel WiFi on my iPad and got a message I was banned from the forum and it’s not set to expire.  Obviously I am not banned as I am still in good standing using my phone off of WiFi.  I assumed when I got back home on my home internet it would go back to normal and my iPad would work, still banned.  Same thing happened recently when I switched internet providers at home and I was instantly banned from another airgun forum but yet when I am off WiFi on my phone or at work on the internet all is fine.  How do you fix this?

I've been locked out a few times while traveling connected to wifi and at home through a VPN.

When at home on my computer the IP address associated with the VPN I tried was flagged and blocked/banned.
I simply turned off the VPN and all was back to normal. As I am not a  "bad actor" my normal IP address (or range of IP addresses depending on your ISP) has not been blocked so everything works fine.

While traveling I can access the GTA forum from my phone data with no problems. However, when I try to connect through someones "free wifi" service I am blocked from the GTA forum. But it's NOT the GTA blocking me. It is the wifi provider. They are monitoring content and apparently ANYTHING associated with the word "guns" flags the site as having inappropriate content. I have had at least 2 free wifi services block access to the GTA forum. When I switch back to using my phones data-link GTA access is restored to normal.

AFAIK there is no way to "fix" this. It is a minor annoyance to me and I've accepted that is as good as it gets :-)

      First thing is you arent banned from our end and i am sure the other forum you arent either, i just checked your account and you are good, Best thing that has fixed them in the past is to clear your cach and restart your computer most of the time this fixes the problem  , In future issures please email me or ezman604.    t Mr MkeyB  I paid  a good sum of money on a crusie so i could be on the forum and as you said anything that says guns or related is blocked, i had a fit over that and asked for a refund you can quess who won that  it sure wasnt me. Funny thing when we got to port in mexico i got on a free wifi and went straight on.  David
