New Alerts Feature?...

I just noticed a new icon in the upper-left of my screen; when I click it shows a large black box with 'avatar here'; and the following text:
"This is a new alerts feature!"
Any info on this?... What will prompt alerts, new posts to topics I've made, etc?...

Disregard that "Image here" box. That would be a spot for the programmer's avatar if they had one.
If there is a green number next to the icon that would be the number of alert notifications you would have from forum management. As you view them the number will decrease.
At least this is how I understand it.

I can't access Airgun Gate or Backroom on my tablet.  It says 404 not found.  What is up with that?

Greg... I use Brave browser on my windows laptop and had to do some resetting in the settings of my browser. I don't know if it will be the same with your tablet. I haven't tried to get on the forum with my other devices yet.
BTW... the new forum updates don't play nice with the ad blocker part of Brave. That's no biggie for me, I can take or leave the ads. However, I get it for you cell phone users, those ads take up alot of space and you have to scroll down past them.

BTW... the ad blockers in Brave now seem to be working as before. The forum is working as if no changes were made... at least on my Windows laptop. I'll try my other devices today.

I was getting an audible alert on every page I loaded.  Very annoying, as there are thousands of new posts I have not read.   I turned the audible alerts off, but now get no email alerts for updates to threads.

For those of you still having issues, try this....

Delete your browser link to the forum.
Clear your cache and browsing history.
Search for, open and log in to the forum.
Save the link again.
I save my log in and password in my browser option (Brave) so I don't have to log in each time.
