Wildcat Mk1 de-tuning

I have a wildcat mk1 .22 that I bought used.  Previous owner said he didn't do any tuning to it and I don't own a chrono.  I'm just assuming it's putting out roughly 30 ft/lbs.  After around 40 shots, I notice a slight change in sound and a slight drop in POI.  I'm aware that this means the gun is dropping off the regulator and needs a recharge.  My question is, has anyone had the power on their wildcat mk1 turned down closer to 20 ft/lbs with good results regarding increased shot count and reduced noise, without ruining accuracy?

You can’t guess your tune so you will need a chronograph. That being said Every gun, ammo, power combination is different so if one person tells you yes the next person may have had other results not so good your best bet is try it. You’ll need a ton of pellets.

My guess was simply based on the info I'd read of the power levels that come out of the gun from the factory.  Since nobody can tell me anything regarding results of tuning a mk1 or point me towards an FX tuner in the US, I'll just leave it, as is, and buy a larger moderator.

As another person said...

To ANY tuning (NOT de-tuning, just tuning) up or down in pellet speed, and to accomplish it even somewhat correctly and accurately, you'll need a "chronograph".
You can't guess, go by sound, or point of aim change.  All that tells you is that SOMETHING...has changed.  Up, down, how far up or down...you have no clue !

Spend the dollars and learn how to use a...chronograph !

Yeah I was more hoping to find a reputable tuner to just pay to do it for me since the only range within 2 hours only goes out to 15 yards and charges by the half hour.
