Another 822 with the trigger guard/safety missing up for auction on the bay.
I have seen the TG missing on more 822's than all other Daisy pumpers combined...by far........
I wonder how come that is?

On the 2000 yr+ model guns its likely the material or process is the cause since they are close to a decade and in some cases more than a decade newer than the last prior made metal receiver TGs. The material seems to be more brittle. The one you are looking at appears to be a later model 822 which would support the theory.

That is a plausible theory....
I only look at that 822 til I see the shipping cost...

Yeah $82 for shipping is BS, they are trying to raise the price of the rifle through shipping. I can see $35 for shipping, but that's about it. Shipping is really high now adays but they are asking an unreasonable amount. That would put the cost around $230 for the gun shipped which is too much for a gun with a busted trigger guard. The gun appears to be in really nice shape otherwise and probably worth it if they would knock $50 off shipping. The scope on that thing looks wonky, I have never soon one of that style that long. Looks like is should be on an old Henry rifle LOL. If I ever get a vacuum and pressure tank I should be able to make some nice trigger guards. The mix and pour ones aren't terrible but getting all the air out without the vacuum pump is nearly impossible.

Much discussion about shipping...
I think people way over estimate the size of the box they will ship in, and ebay's shipping calculator ain't the best.....
I had one guy use a guitar box for dimensions.........
When I can I ask the seller if he will allow me to send my own prepaid UPS label. Some will, some won't...those are the ones I don't trust
