Crosman 137 front sight pin removal

Hi, I recently bought this Crosman 137.
I am going to reseal it.
The front sight pin isn't a roll pin.
I think it has steel round nuts on both ends to keep it in place?
Any advice on how to remove this pin?
If I am right, then the nuts aren't moving at all; I suspect Loctite?
Will be a challenge to unscrew them without damaging.

This morning 2 cups of strong coffee helped me to think.



I filed the surface of the cap, as the non blued center looks like it has been banged with a punch pin and deformed.
My assumption was that the blued cap simply needs to be pulled off.
This worked. I tightened one cap in my vice, and pulled the other cap off, whilst turning it, with a sort of handheld vice.

So it's just a nice aesthetic way of Crosman to hide the roll pin.
I like it.

Then I cleaned all the parts. After work, it will be a matter of installing new seals, and re-assembly.

I love straightforward projects like this one.

Looks like they used the Crosman 760-047 pin and the 760-048 pin retainer caps that was used on the early 760's. I have both if you need them.

The retainer caps are a nice touch. I will email you to order the pin and caps for my early 130.

Yesterday I finished resealing the 137. Nice little gun.

That's interesting.  I encountered the same thing on either a Crosman 761XL or 760.  It was a victim of mixing and matching parts among them in order to get a working gun out of parts, so it's hard to tell.
