Diana 460, now oversprung? Opinions wanted

A little off topic, but this rifle was originally purchased as a refurb, and it had issues straight out of the box.  A friend of mine tore it down and straightened it out for me, and just posted a video about it on his YouTube channel "Pellets and Pistons", and some may find it interesting, so I'm posting the link to the episode below.

FYI, the chrony numbers at the end are from my rifle with the spring that was in it, right after it got new seals.  The lower numbers it produces now came about after a spring change.

Oh, and all of the items found were "freebies" that were in there there when I got it, I just didn't know about them until the tear down.  I did not contribute!  ha ha

Thanks Hector.  This guide qualifies as "loose".

IMHE, loose guides can lose between ½ and 2 ft-lbs to a correctly "tight" guide. It all depends on the size of the action.

To explain why, in my mind it is simple:

A "loose" guide allows the spring to push in all directions. A "tight" guide will just let the spring push in the direction we want it to go.
Energy in the spring is the same, but the energy that goes into the pellet is different.

That is why a "tight" guide will always yield better energy than a loose guide.

Nitpicking certainly, but something about the numbers posted in the video didn't look correct so I put the string into my calc sheet and got corrected values attached. Not really an error but I'm assuming SD got mislabeled as ES in video?

Regardless, beautiful rifle. Hope to own one someday.  :-)
