Crossman 1377 help please

My Crosman 1377, circa 1994, would not pump any more so I threw some silicone oil at the pump cup area with a syringe.

I have to stroke it fast to get a good stiff pump. She would still not pump if I pumped really slow.      I still get an occasional loose pump if I pumped real slow.  I get good fps if I shoot right away, but if I let her sit for a while I lose pressure and fps.

Your sage wisdom will be appreciated.

for ease of reassembling i would get a new pivot pin while i was ordering the rebuild kit, most of the dealers have one version or the other. c clips or nuts and threaded rod, pick your poison lol, i prefer the threaded rod

Wow  These roll pins are spendy little boogers, aren't they? 

I say form follows function.  What diameter are these pins?  I'm thinking a small steel bolt and  lock-nut.

By the time I invest in a roll pin and any other seals/orings, etc...  I'm about halfway to a new 1377!

And what you're seeing is exactly why they call the 13xx "The most expensive cheap gun."

Get a set of roll pin punches and re-use the pin - you'll be ahead of the game.

I got a set of the regular  punches….been hammering away…other day found a set with the little nipple that fits inside the pin…didnt even know I had them..lol….

What type of 1377 is this?  The hammer cannot be removed. How am I supposed to take out the valve?  There's no way to push it through one side or the other!  It slides only a couple of inches either way before hitting a stop.

The hammer pin lifts out then you can remove hammer.
The valve has to come out the pump end - there is an insert in the tube to stop it going out the rear.
The tube needs to be de-burred to save cutting new o-rings

Well - if you guys haven't figured it out yet - I'M A CLUMSY IDIOT!

I've already lost the hammer pin!  And of course the hardware store doesn't carry an Oring to fit atop the valve. And...I haven't even ordered replacement seals yet.

Does anyone know what I can replace it with?

I'm hand enough to be dangerous.

Quick location to get o-rings ( not the best but quick and cheap )
If you have a Harbor Freight store - go get their cheapo o-ring set maybe $10

Some on-line resources for parts:

Alchemy Air Werks on Ebay - top notch service.  He will have everything you need and a ton more that you don't but will want anyway.

JG Airguns - seller of OEM parts for vintage guns.  Good stuff.

Crosman.com - call the service dept with part numbers, they will help you out as well.  Also, use the GTA code when you order anything via on-line.  Like a steel breech - HINT HINT - or maybe some pellets.

As a suggestion - get a complete rebuild kit for the valve - it will have the pump cup, etc.  Add a steel breech and then re-assemble - don't change anything else.  You'll be better off that way.

I have an Allen head bolt with an acorn nut from my local True Value Hardware.  They do sell solid pins also.  From a previous life I own a complete set of punches.  I did dremel the threads smoother in the general area of the pivot hole.  Works like/better than the original. And yes I have spent more than the $37 purchase price for my worlds most expensive cheap Lego gun.  I even threw $59 at a 2240...lol

Thank you sir.  Lots of ideas from this forum like the Crossman stock, steel breech and Discount Gate for the $10 case :-)
