   It is not my job to keep an eye on air rifles on online auction sites, & I usually avoid it . But lately with higher prices for these rifles, I have seen some air rifles for sale that are not even vintage/antique , not original components, & other faults. I don't want to see anyone pay these high prices just to later find out the truth about their purchases & be very disappointed. Research the item you are interested in before committing to purchase.

It is truly sad that the scammers have found out about our hobby. I have, in the past, messaged a seller about their glaring errors in the item description, but not anymore. I just bite my tongue, realizing it is their reputation on the line. But still get worked up thinking that someone could get burned.

It can be hard living an impulsive society, needing that instant gratification, but I have realized greater satisfaction after waiting for just the rite opportunity to come along, even though patients is not one of my better qualities.

I saw a Legends 1911A1 co2 bb pistol on Ebay for $2000. I paid about $80 for mine of Ebay.

The auction sites have created a way now for anyone to become a collector of vintage airguns.  I am amazed what I have been able to collect in my short period of interest.  Collectors no longer have to drive places to look.  I often think if I pay a little more than its worth I am probably actually saving money in gas, hotel room, and time.  There will always be people trying to fool you, that is part of the education in the hobby?  Maybe these higher prices are what some of these treasures are really worth they are not making more of them?

I avoid auction sights. My definition of mint or excellent condition is definitely different from a lot of people.
