Adjustable High Pressure Regulator Service??

Running an adjustable regulator on Nitrogen tanks for 6 or 7 years now.  Lately I am noticing it is not as responsive as it used to be.  Still regulates fine, but is not as responsive to pressure changes.  I bought it from Joe B, but I believe it is the same regulator offered by many vendors, I believe BAUER REG-0039 is one manufacturer/part number. 

I've seen rebuild kits for like $70.  Before doing that I was curious if anyone knew o-ring sizes?  I would just order new o-rings and if the seat needs attention I would likely just make one out of peek.

I prefer not to disassemble and risk making it non-functional while waiting on parts. 

Anyone have experience refreshing these?

My guess on the issue you are having is not the internals of the reg but rather the inlet nipple, on a 6k regulator they have a sintered filter probably stainless or brass and it has collected enough dust over the years that it is partially plugged and restricting the incoming flow and results in slower reaction to adjustments. I was in the compressed gas biz for the last 48 years and have seen this on many regulators over that time. Just get a new inlet nipple with filter and your good.

Good on you for using Nitrogen in your guns its the very best way to go. No oxidizers, water, oil or enviromental contaminants

Sorry for the late response, I lost track of this one. 

I am fortunate to have a great welding gas franchise in this area, without them nitrogen would not be practical.  Someday I plan to add a bottle to bottle booster as I hate returning a cylinder with 2kpsi of nitrogen in it..  I keep 2 and swap them out when one gets below 3500psi or so, moving the reg to the fresh tank and a simple fill station to the lower pressure tank.
