A while back a friend let me do a review on their Umarex ReadyAir that was not only an electrical hazard, but they are now on their 3rd rebuild on it. They have just over 30 hours on it! At least they can get rebuild parts, but it takes time and patience to rebuild it. Almost every 10 hours it needs a rebuild it appears.

My EC-3000 has close to 100 hours on it, and other than lube changes, it's been a very solid compressor. The Daystate has about 60 hours on it, and other than lube changes, no issues either.

You buy a quality compressor and it makes this hobby a lot more fun!

Warning on those protection plans sold by Asurion. From what I've heard, it's a complete scam!
Essentially, they count on the buyer never needing it or just forgeting about it. The agreement is that it kicks in after the manufacturer's warranty period.
Should you need a claim, they put you on a wild goose chase and drag things out, to make it frustrating, in the hopes that you would just give up and go away. Should you refuse to let it go, they will claim that they can't work things out with the seller/manufacturer. Then to ultimately just refund you the price of the protection plan. They walk away with no wrong doings assessed against them, since they refunded you your money.
Like most protection plan, it doesn't ever get used and/or simply forgotten about. This what they count on. It is absolutely shady, but a brilliant business plan really.
Buyers beware!

Actually I just used the protection plan on a Vevor Compressor bought from Walmart . Clonked out on me after the return window closed. I tried contacting Vevor unsuccessfully. I called Square Trade and explained I can’t get a hold of the manufacturer. They said no problem they created a claim, I sent the compressor in, they decided to refund. In this case it’s not a scam.
