Thoughts of YH Compressor

The more I read and watch videos the more enticing the YH compressor becomes for filling my large tanks. You can’t beat the deal . What are your thoughts GTA?

It's not what it was designed for but many of us do, including myself.
I bought a new one and added a 3 year extended warranty through Walmart.
I'm about a year into it and have probably filled tanks 10 or 12 times.
I fill a 30 and a 60 minute scba tank for 3k to 4300psi.
So far, so good. But if it fails due to my actions I won't call it junk. I'll just try to make use of the warranty and move on.

I did a lot of research before buying a compressor last year.  My 15 year life expired on my :45 SCBA.  I decided it was cheaper to buy a compressor than another tank.  I found 2 for $300 from someone who buys pallets of Amazon returns.  I've only refilled my tank 4 times since last November.  I don't do a lot of shooting.

Pro's
It fills the .5L tank on my AEA Carbine in seconds, and takes 12-15 minutes to fill my :45 SCBA depending on how low I go before refilling.  It's oil lubricated and water cooled, so should last longer IMO.  Parts are available, and not available for lots of other compressors.

Con's
It's oil lubricated and water cooled, if you want true portability.  Lot's of people don't want to be bothered with setting up cooling water, drainage for the pump, etc.  If filling large tanks I would recommend putting an additional large filter in line to keep moisture out of your tank/gun.  Some people consider them noisy.

My tanks are 4500 max but I don't push the compressor past 4300. It is also rated at 4500. I don't know 'bar'. For me that's a place where I go have a cold beer.

My tanks are 4500 max but I don't push the compressor past 4300. It is also rated at 4500. I don't know 'bar'. For me that's a place where I go have a cold beer.

I use mine for up to 3000 psi. Over 3600 psi it starts to cry a little so I try not to go over 3600 even in my 4500 psi pony bottle.
