I've run this mold the most since I've shooting .25s more these days. The rejection rate has dropped so I am improving. I weight each and sort them into 4 groups. 47.4-47.59, 47.6-47.79, 47.8-< and ones that look "ok" to use on steel spinners, cans ect. Is this reasonable or ridiculous? I'm happy with the groups thus far. Took 2 coons and 5-6 starlings 😎.
FX on MIN 436fps muzzle 419fps @25 yards
FX on MAX 640fps muzzle 636fps@25 yards
On MAX @25 yards makes 1 dime hole on MIN quarter sized
.25 Prod 639-672pfs muzzle ragged hole with a flier
I plugged those #s into a calculator and got a B.C. of .116, does that sound about right? Need the B.C. for Strelok.
I do enjoy casting, hope to get the NOE 250-41-FN-BK2 for a slightly light round. Have a great day all.

On weight sorting it just depends on the range. You could test both extremes and any combinations like 0.40gr sorts to see if there is any difference between the weights with POI and accuracy at different ranges. At 25 yards you can get away with larger spreads. I typically sort down to 0.20gr for 100 yards or less. You could also verify the BC and see if that number holds true at different ranges. You need to verify the BC number regardless anyways. The BC does seem a little high but might not be with slugs. The casts do look good!
