I'm a little bummed that this barrel doesn't like my cast wadcutters, but I picked up a tin of .25 Crow Magnums and they look promising. I powder coated them because that's what I do. I can't help myself. 


This is a 15 yard group but this is a close range gun. Only 3 shots because these things aren't cheap.

I suspect .20 would be a a lot easier to do than .25 was if you can find a barrel.

I'm not sure if I should start a separate thread or not but I seem to have the only .25 362 right now so I'll keep it here. I discovered today that it's holding air at anything past 9 pumps. It's probably because of the heavier pellets but it's something to be aware of if you're shooting heavy pellets in a .22 as well.

If Alchemy still has the barrels or is willing to make more, it wouldn't be difficult to convert one. Mine was a little more difficult because I had the wrong breech and didn't want to spend the money on another one.

Are there drop-in barrels in .25 for the 362 platform?  Sources?  What would the desired dimensions be?  7/16" O.D.?

What are the advantages of the .25 vs .22?

I haven't even gotten mine and plotting mods...I gotta quit this board or I'l be in trouble (at least I avoided that $200 PCP deal...thought about it though)

There are no drop in barrels. I got mine from Alchemy Airwerks but I don't know if he has anymore. You will probably have to source a .25 barrel and have the breech portion turned down to 7/16.


I built mine because I've wanted a .25 pumper for years. It's not a powerhouse but it gets the job done and it blows my .22 362 away in the accuracy department.

If I read correctly, you didn't change the breech.  I'm guessing with a "big bore" breech and barrel, it can be done easily.

I'm reading up on things and found the 25 hits harder overall (larger mass will do that) but velocities are generally lower than the 22.  I'm going to leave mine alone for a while and put the 25 stuff in the back for a later date.  If those PCP's come back on the swinging deal I may go that way.  I have a 22LR for several reasons.

If you buy the big bore breech from Baker Airguns you might not have to turn the barrel down. The standard crosman breech is a 7/16 bore.
