Unusual nutter ( dark charcoal color)

Nutter #124 was out on the apple tree making a play for the bird feeder. ( after over 16 inches of snow and drifts a week ago its only the past few days I could get to it with some warmer weather this week  ) I almost didn't see him , he blended so well with the tree but the tail movement gave him away.  35 yds with the 850 and a Rws SHP                                                                                                                                                                                                                       N12421222 by David, on Flickr

The color is very interesting. The picture makes it almost look golden amidst the chocolate.

Great shot on that black squirrel Dave !!! You've seen some of the variants that I've shot for the gray/black/fox and they definitely come in all different packages for sure.

Nice shooting and great head count.  I've never seen a black one around here but there are white ones in the neighborhood.  I see them out walking the dog.  All I've shot have been grays.

This one here has a little brown in it too Dave, I prefer the jet black ones but ya can't have everything, I've gotten them in a bunch of different variations.

Dave, I forgot you still use the old 850!  Mine still works well too.  These German made Hammerli 850 CO2 rifles are well built and last.

Great shooting on the black eastern Gray!  It looks like a dark chocolate color to me
