Was trying out different pellets in My Benjamin NP XL 1500 .177 yesterday.  Put in a RWS Hobby (mistake) the velocity was 1211.  Only tried one but the sound was of a 22 long rifle.  RWS Super Dome were also loud 1126 average and 23.39 FPE.  Only thing under 1000 was Beeman Kodiak 991 avg. and CPUM 995 avg.

Yup, you're gonna want to stay away from those light pellets, bad for the gun and once you get over 1100fps, the accuracy goes way down.
