How many is too many ?

How many do you have in your stock? I just looked and I have between .457 round ball and .457 340 grain over 1100 rounds. Do I need to make more or should I be fine for a week or two

To me....1,100 of any ammo is NOT enough. LOL.  I'm pretty sure if I said how much I have on hand I would be labeled a hoarder.

That's only two tins, lol.  You might be dipping low there especially with deer season so far out.

I cast slugs/pellets or both for .25, .30 and 357 cals.  I went through some 200 .30 cals just yesterday playing around cause of a nice day.  I really couldn't say how many I have but know my closet is full and will be casting more before the heat hits.  i don't want to run out and have to cast out in the heat.

Now I do not feel so bad. I still have about 50 lbs of lead to use.

There's always an unlimited amount of lead from Rotometals if worse comes to worse.

I recycle so I have an endless supply of lead. As for ammo, I cast what I need for a particular gun and go from there. It kind of reduces the need for storage.

Cast in winter and reduce stock in summer.
The more you have on tab the more you shoot and have fun, and thats why we're all here.

I cast up some more hunters a couple days ago, I may have to try them out on a red squirrel out in my back yard today, the sun is supposed to show itself later and I might take a sit out on my back porch with my Crosman 362 pumped to 4 pumps which will be plenty for a red squirrel

Some 20+ years ago i mailed with a guy fron Michigan about a Danish M1867 rolling block black powder rifle he bought. One fine day he was sitting at his reloading table measuring cartridge length, fumbled a little and a round went off down through his reloading table, down through the floorboards and out through the wall and went: Peweeweeweeweewee out over lake Michigan.
He sent me pics with the cleaning rod sticking from his table out through the wall. All alone when it happned! Said if i ever mentioned it to the War and Finance minister, he'd travel to Denmark find me rip my right arm off and beat me to death with the bloody stump :-)
