392 - 397 Target Shooting

Boy I thought I was a better shot with my Benjamin 392 and 397 pumpers.

I have not shot either at a target in a while. At 10 m I am only shooting 2" groups
Maybe today is a bad day for groups.
But my R7 at 10 m is at minus 1/2"

Regardless of the pellet?
 Are you taking time for your heart rate to settle down from "Multi-Pumping"?
I take it from your wording you have shot this particular gun well in the past, not a different 39X?
 If I am mistaken, and this is a different gun, have you cleaned the over-spray from the muzzle?

If I remember correctly, both of these shot "more better" in the past.
In the past both have had the paint cleaned from the muzzle and valve mods, etc.
Recently I added LDCs to both. This changed the POI.

I think I will remove the LDC and verify the grouping.

I picked up a couple tins of Stroeger X-Magnum pellets this week, my 392 HATES them, they fly crazy beyond 15 yards, at 100 feet, its  12" circle, I was seriously disappointed, till I dug up some old pellets I had, now with a new tin of Ruger pellets its happy, at 40 yards can consistently hit a tennisball, I did modify it a bit, larger transfer port, and cut the intake valve in half, and drilled out the intake port, makes it a bit easier to pump.
I do have a scope on mine. I was ready to closet it after the X-Magnum pellets.
