DIY camo discovery

well i got bored and started looking at how to camo my disco. after looking at a few deisgns i ran down to walmart and bought kaki, camo brown and camo olive green and clear coat. i used the plastic cover of a binder and designed my pattern i want to use. i took off the trigger, taped all openings i didnt want painted, pluged the barrel and the scope lens.
next i hung the gun and sprayed a coat of kaki and let dry for 15 minutes, then i did a second coat and let it dry. next take it off the hanger and lay it on the ground, put the stencil over the gun and i sprayed it with the olive all up and down the gun, next i layed the stencil the opposite direction and added the brown. when down i did the coat fallowing the same steps. hung the gun up again after it dried and figured i wanted it a little darker so i misted it with the olive until it with the shade i wanted. Then i did 2 coats of clear coat and let it dry and re assembled the gun. took about 2 hrs total and i think it came out ok for my first try at a DIY camo job.

What gun? Was there supposed to be a gun in the pictures? Maybe you did a little bit too good of a job.

thanks. looks much better where i hunt. now that things are starting to get more brown and dark it blends in pretty nice. good learning experience and i know what to do better next time. for one need thicker stencil material and i might space the pattern out more and make the lines them selves a little thicker to really break up the out line. like predator camo
