What factors go into accuracy differences when shooting at longer distances?

Bryan has some very interesting info on his site...........

Even thou it is for CF rifle/pistols, it will work very well for air guns, just reduce the yardage to suit you,
I use 10 and 50yds, as far as I shoot now, make sure you use a good level on the air rifle to keep square and true etc..

I absolutely make sure my scope crosshairs are ALIGNED perfectly at the longest distance, if you are off,
you have to loosen the scope rings and rotate the scope just a couple of thousands,
in the direction you want the crosshair to move, then start all over,
when done right your POI will be the same at close and far ranges centered on the vertical line etc.

Then you can figure out your scope for adjustment units, if you are a scope dialer...........LOL

Good point,. Straight and level  makes you scope adj more to up/ down, left right . The more your off from that make the adjustments go diagonal    so like going up/ down will also pull it left or right at the same time so to say for example. Same thing on windage pulls towards up or down depending on what way the scopes canted.
