range finder ---- I need one --- help me choose

I am interested to see how the cheaper ones hold up against the more expensive ones. I definitely need more than the bushnell Scout 1k ARC I have now. A cheaper wallet hit would be excellent if the quality is good.

My confidence level is high with what I ordered but I also believe there probably even less expensive models that work just as well. It's a whole lotta 'we'll see'.

I am thinking about putting one in my cart as well. A lot of the cost in the others is from the name only. If I can get one for half or a third of the cost that performs good, I may just get a couple of em.

Yeah, I nearly fell for a Leupold only because they are close to my house but what's the point if I (HOPEFULLY) never need to return it? None.

I stayed under $100 and that met my goal for price. These devices should really only cost about $40 shipped.

The Halo XL450 is what I use. No particular reason other than it was priced right locally. Been using it two years. For me it works well and serves it purpose. Simple range finding at airgun ranges...

That's just one of the reason I avoid AMZ like the plague.  They do like sending the cheaper versions of what's ordered.   At least that has been my experience.


I don't see the angular measurement capabilities you wanted on this model.

I've had numerous correct and happy orders but this one failed.

The stuff I wanted is actually in the header decription.

This time I hope they send you the correct one! Amazon makes few mistakes and when they do they’ve made it right each time for me! I think Johnny ordered from the vendor Halo and they sent the wrong model....I could be wrong! Just hope you get the right one 👍.

So you bought the Halo.  I have the same one.  Works really good for my needs.  Can be a little difficult to get sighted if anything obscures direct line of sight.  Always give me +/- a yard at 60 yards.  Ooops, had to modify as I see your ordered different after snafu on shipment..

I tried to buy Halo. Ordered the XL 450 and twice they sent me the CL 300. Forget that noise.

I gave up and ordered this one...
