Those Darn FLYERS! @#$%^

Sighting in my RWS 460 .22 went well except for that one darn FLYER.  Seems inexplicable but I never seem to be able to quite avoid one now and then.  Hope everyone is healthy and safe out there in airgun land.

Allen, very very nice groups! Maybe try and sort the JSB pellets and see? Doesn’t seem like it’s you or your gun. Anyway, nice shooting and keep healthy and safe!

Agreed, Allen! We know that YOU are an excellent shot, and I know that the 460 is a highly accurate rifle!

OK...pick one:

1. If the rifle was alive, it might be thinking: "that darned human....had my accuracy groove on, and he screwed it up."

2. ""I'm always great...any flier ain't my fault", so it's gotta-be it's the rifle's fault.

Am taking the middle ground...if you could take it back, in a "woulda-shoulda-coulda" type thing....is there anything you would have done to avoid the "oops shots",or was it totally the mechanical system's fault?

I think it's the little differences in the pellets, not every shot is the same fps, little breeze and we're not machines. We're going to hold our mouth a little different now and then.

 As in life the odds are stacked against you, eliminate every thing that could possibly go wrong, then add Murphy's law and it all fall apart LOL
