I’ve been using my MP mold to recycle the lead from my pellet trap.I am now mainly shooting the slugs that I cast. Accuracy is as good as any other pellet that I have in the short range that I shoot.I’m still using purchased pellets occasionally but what’s really nice is all the pressure is off of the need to constantly restock. Casting a full tin of pellets is no big deal at all, just 20- 30 minutes plus cleanup once the lead has melted.
Those look great. Need to get a mold for a lighter .25 pellet or slug of some kind. The 47 grain slugs are fine for shooting close distances but my TalonP is shooting them at only 700 m/s or so and I imagine this makes them not useful for long range shooting in this gun.
I never shoot more than about 10 or 15 yards! Only reason why I ended up with this slug mold is that it was the only mold in .25 I could find. I would’ve picked a Diablo pellet mold for sure if I could’ve found one. I’m actually glad that I stumbled on this mold
