Yup like springs and small screws during disassembly can't be found when looking for it then few days later it shows up.

So so many times.... I'll find something when I'm looking for something else. That's when I have a 'squirrel' moment and forget what I was looking for.

 Just checking in on WesBob's site, he has some unique pistols coming soon.
I have the .25 cal. pp800 single shot with that funky wood grip, figure it works as a bench rest pistol fpr the most part w/o sanding but I plan to tweek it a bit for my hand, though I look at it and see a stubby carbine with the right rifle stock.

The .22 SST from PA came FedEx today. I opened that package at lunchtime and stuck the tray in the gun. Pellets are still hard to chamber. I remember someone here addressed this issue but I can't find the thread.
Can someone please run through the fix for the hard loading pellets? Is it oring in the lead in? Is it the lead in itself?
The SST proved to me that it's not a mag alignment thing.
Everyone of my SPA guns have the same hard loading issue.

 They are known to be rough around the TP, holding the gun an its side or straight up while loading will relieve the resistance if it is the TP in need of smoothing out.

I took it apart this morning and I can see a defined ridge one the lead in. I started working on that and a pellet is starting to fit with less resistance. I ran out of time this morning but I will continue to work that ridge this evening.

Well, life kinda moved over a minute and let me spend a few more minutes at the bench.
The SST got here from PA. Just what I needed for pellet fit testing on the lead in.
I first took a drill bit and worked the lead in by hand. I got it good enough to where I could stick a pellet in then cover the TP hole with my finger and blow the pellet back out the breech end by blowing down the muzzle end. Then I put a fine stone in the dremel and polished the lead in.
I saw a nick in the bolt oring in the breech end that seals the bolt so I replaced that with a softer oring. The brownish ones that came with the gun are very hard.
Time to give it a go.
I put 2 drops of secret sauce on the tray just to lube the oring and lead in, dropped a CPUM in the tray and gave a shove on the back of the bolt with my thumb. The pellet went into the barrel with just the slightest effort. I aimed down range and watched the breech while I fired for signs of leakage. Nope, no leak... the vapor trail from the oil all came out the muzzle.
I haven't tried the mag yet but I'm sure it will be a great improvement. I think I'll do just a bit more polishing before I call it a done deal.
BTW... This gun is surprisingly quiet.... until I unscrew that pickle. Then it's LOUD !! and sounds like it has lots of power.
At the end of the day.... I love this gun. It's short, really light and pleasing to the eye.
One more thing I'm going to change.... I'm going to swap the left hand breech off of it for a right hand that I have on one of my other SPA guns. The left hand bolt just don't work well on a rifle for me.

Went home for lunch today and had 30 minutes or so after I ate. I loaded up a mag of 14.3 CPUM and stepped out the back door...... oh yeah!!
She cycles like Chinese butter.
One down, 3 or 4 to go.
Had I known it was that easy of a fix I would have done it long ago.
