Questions about increasing power in the 2260

I really like this rifle but the power is less than 9 FPE with its favorite pellet, the Air Arms Falcon 13.43 gn., otherwise known as JSB Exact Jumbo RS.
I know that the valve can be modified to increase power, but I have neither the tools nor the skill to do this. There is an company called The Crooked Barn that sells a replacement valve that they claim will increase power. There is also another company that makes one but I can't remember the name.
Several questions:
First, what is the name of the other company and which one is better?
What kind of power increase can I expect?
How many good shots per 12 gram cartridge can I expect?
How difficult is it to install?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

well I have a 2260 that I got from the classifieds that already had the "boss" 12gr valve and a heavier hammer spring. It's shooting in the low 600 fps range for around 12fpe in .22 cal. I get about 20 "good" shots before the power starts to drop like a rock.
It is VERY easy to mod any 22xx pellet gun.
Also if you have the cash to get a new valve, why not go to wally world and get yourself a dremel? they are very cheap and its easy to port the valve with a little practice
P.S you may want to consider going the bulk fill route.. I can go through 25 powerlets in a day.. that's $15 a day for just co2...

before you go crazy with powervalves and etc, improve what you have. widen the co2 port, file down the side that turns 90 degrees, tighten th screw to create a better seal. take the hammer out an clean the tube so it slides easier. then take the spring and go get another one at the hardare store that matches in dimension but is stiffer. reassemble, voila.
mine shoots hobbies at 620 fps avg. i get 22 shots then i start loosing velocity so i fire off about 7 to 10 shots of co2 to take the pessure off the cap and replace the powerlet. the only part you should buy is the metal breech. it is a necessity.

Yesterday, after gathering as much info as I could (a big thanks to Biohazardman), I decided to have a go at it. First I counterbored the hole where the needle goes through from the inside, using a 3/16 inch drill bit to a depth of about 1/4 inch. Then I counterbored that hole with a 5/16 inch bit about 1/16 inch. Don't ask why, I'm not really sure, I always like to do something a little unconventional when I tune one of my rifles. I did not enlarge the exhaust port, but I did taper it to 110 degrees using the side of a 3/32 inch dill bit. I cleaned all the parts with denatured alcohol and put some blue locktite on the threads before screwing it back together nice and tight. I realize there are other things I could have and maybe should have done, but I decided to leave it at that. It has been raining here for 3 days so I haven't been able to chrony it yet. But I had to go out and take a couple of shots. I noticed 3 things. 1. The report seems to be considerably louder. 2. The pellet seemed to reach my pellet trap alot sooner. 3. The pellet sounded like it hit the duct seal with alot more authority. I dry fired it this morning just to see if it was leaking and it sounded loud and strong. The rain is supposed to stop tomorrow. I can't wait to set up the chrony. Between this and the 3 screw trigger mod I did a few weeks ago I just may have turned this rifle into a hunter. Also, a big thanks to lillysdad621 for helping me make the decision.
