Here is a holder for my Domore hand grinder I made for a lathe. We used this type of grinding a lot in the Plastic injection mold making.

Oh my, another plastics guy?
The holder I made years ago is set up to fit a DotCo pencil grinder and I've gotten a lot of good work out of it. Not even vaguely as good as an OD/ID grinder, but how many have room in their home for one of those? What kind of surface finishes are you getting so far? I'd guess the Dumore's electric motor hanging out back helps dampen vibration, which can be a problem when using the DotCo.

I can get a #32 finish all day long. Yes I spent 50yrs in the trade. I just dead armed a gun stock on my small mill. Not too many people even know what that is. I also have set up my radial arm saw with grinding wheels for surface grinding. Craig
