HW50S complete rebuild with TBT kit

Hi all,
HW50S in .177 from 2006 serial #16721XX
This is my first Weihrauch rebuild. I think it has 4000 or so pellets through it. I read many posts on this and am hoping all this effort, sweat and polish is going to make my springer into a sweet shooting mid-size hunting rifle. All I really want now is an unobtanium .20 cal barrel!
I have stripped, cleaned, deburred, and polished every thing I could think of With the exception of completely taking the rekord trigger assembly apart.
Piston and compression tube were deburred, polished inside and out ending with 1000 grit wet/dry.
Cocking arm never had delrin from factory but did have copious amounts of grease used. This arm still caused galling on lower part of compression tube. So I filed down and polished the offending parts on the arm. I also worked the linkage to make it less stiff. Then polished the shoe end of the arm. I doubt that any further damage will be done to the compression tube, so I will grease the &^^& out of it like the factory did and live with it.
I saw a guy polish reachable areas of trigger unit, I did the same and also polished the sear connecting part of the piston.
If you noticed in the pictures, my original spring is curved and about a cm shorter than the new one that was donated from JustanothaJoe. Many thanks for that! I polished the ends of the spring to mirror finish.
The TBT kit guides are sized for the HW95. The Brits informed me that you need to hacksaw the guides to fit the HW50S/HW99S to about 15mm for the Top hat and about 85mm for the lower guide.
The guides are supposed to work with the factory spring but were far too tight. I used various sandy papers ending in fine and used caliper to get consistent diameter from top to bottom. The guides fit with some force and are easier to remove by turning them out. My understanding is that you want tight because when the spring is compressed and under preload the spring will end up being looser on the guide. This kit is supposed to eliminate the noticeable twang I had in my gun with the bent spring.
Two preload power adjusting washers are included in the kit. I am curious to see what FPS they represent and how much better my gun will be when it’s back together.
The only hold up right now are new breech and piston seal I ordered from Australia haven’t arrived yet. So I have a Quandary...Do I put it back together now with the original loose fitting (on the piston) factory piston seal and test it, or just wait another week for the Aussie seals to come in?

Hey Bruce,
I'd just wait and finish the job right
.
I'm also waiting for some Aussie piston seals for my R1 and HW35E
When I was a Kid, I couldn't wait, but after having a number of bad outcomes... waiting works best for me.
