What's the deal with these $57 "No name" Yong Heng compressors? Clones? Seconds? Total Rip-off?
Anyone have experience with these. (And how long does it take to get here?)

Guess I picked the wrong time to order something from China...........3 weeks ago.

Do a search for Y.H. compressor scams, there have been a few threads on this.
Definitely a scam.
 I even went so far as to check the address in China on "Google Maps Satellite View" for the last round...
 It was an imaginary line for a street and no building.,
I think the majority got their refund from ebay / paypal...
Proof for their claim was the comment made by the seller on the parcel size being an envelope.
 Or some such thing.

There are LOTS of scams right now.
Sometimes they will actually send SOMETHING to you, but is isn't what you wanted, nor what you ordered.
Sometimes the restocking fee and return cost makes buyers not even bother with a return.

Some of those eBay scams have a "drop down" menu, and when you click on it you will find out that the $57 price is for a power supply to run it, and the compressor is $300 extra....

Or they provide you a tracking number for something that isn't even sent to you.  So your order is "delivered"  and they try to sidestep their responsibility to deliver what was sold to you.  Or they simply buy enough time to take the cash out onn their end and make a new scam account

Check with Avator.  He is an expert on Ebay scams.  Especially yong heng

I suspected they were scams, but I ordered a $50 Yong Heng compressor and also tried a $30 MIG welder because I was curious. Both were listed as "in stock" from US warehouses, but the tracking actually started in China after the sale. Both items were tracked and it looked like something was (slowly) coming into the US. Both were then tracked as being delivered to addresses 1000+ miles AWAY from my address. I filed a complaint with ebay these items were NOT delivered. They checked and very quickly determined the tracking was bogus. My refunds were issued shortly after that.


I think there are 2 possibilities:

1) The original seller had an elaborate 6-12 month plan to sell lots of small items and then scam a bunch of higher priced items before cancelling his/her ebay account.

2) The original seller was a small time vendor who got HACKED and someone else posted these scam items on their seller page. The small time seller had to close his/her account after all the bad ratings the fake items generated.

Either way they are scams, You will likely get your money back but your time is gone forever.
