First Rattus of 2021 AKA as #1

Its been stormy here from the first day of 2021 the rain could be measured in feet not inches.
Number one was a large male I had been watching for the last two nights. He would not get up on the bait station so I could welcome him properly.
Last night he set off my arlo at around 9:30 pm. I got in place to shoot but he would not get up on the station so I could see him in the light I have set up for shooting.
I went ahead and turned on my mounted red varmint light, well I’ll be dipped if he wasn’t six or seven feet in fount of the station looking at me.
I immediately painted him with my laser and sent the 14.3 gr Happy new years pellet to greet him, I heard a distinctive sound followed by dance in the shimming red varmint light.
Unfortunately my arlo did not get the action shot.  Number one expired from a non- covid related cause.

Jesse, excellent shot on that porker! Man, those Norway rats are pigs with tails they’re so chunky! I hope the deluge of rain eases up so you can greet more rats with your lead greeting pills 😉. Arlo surely makes nice clear videos.
