I hope they sell out of this soon. I'm not sure how long I can stand it.
https://www.crosman.com/phantom-np-22A few reasons I caved for the cheap ($60 all in) Phantom Nitro 22 instead of the Benjamin Trail NP Elite:I don't need another MAGNUM springer (~30 fpe) because I have all I need in my Hatsans (125, 135, and 130s). Another bargain ~20 fpe break-barrel however is OK.IMO BOTH air rifles are a bargain at these Midway sale prices.

The Benji Trail .22 is a 20-22 fpe rifle....My .22 Summit Ranger is in the same power range.NP2 is good for another 1-2 fpe over the 1st Gen NP's; be nice if they were 30 fpe rifles. *Smiles*...You're right though, either one is a bargain. I too would lean towards the Phantom, as it would make a nice fixer upper, as I pointed out to Dan. I wish I could take advantage of this sale. As it is, I think I finally found a cure for the nagging case of tendonitis I've had since May.Collagen & Silica. The collagen is going for $57.80 and the silica is going for $11.62.Somebody else here at GTA was complaining of tendonitis too. It wasn't you, was it? I can't remember offhand. I'm still slurping coffee this morning. Here's the links I used. You might want to pass them on to the feller that does have tendonitis, if you know him
I don't have one of the BTNP Elites so I was going by Crosmans rating of 26 fpe.https://www.crosman.com/benjamin-trail-nitro-piston-elite-hardwood-22Assuming 26 fpe is real, that puts it very close to my Hatsan Mod125 coil-spring which currently shoots as smooth as its air-spring sibling. Some past tendon/joint injuries (at a much younger age) took many months to properly heal so I know how it feels to have some restricted movement.Current job at a local brewery requires standing/walking for 8 hour shifts with lots of heavy lifting (stacking half kegs ~160 lbs and grain sacks ~55 lbs). That exercise has positive benefits. I'm not having any difficulties cocking and shooting even the largest magnum springers in my collection. I KNOW at my age it won't be long before certain parts wear-out or break and the physically easy tasks I take for granted now become very difficult. I plan to enjoy shooting all my springers until I can't, then I'll reluctantly put them up on the GTA classifieds.
