Ok thanks. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Sounds like an easy fix. It's raining here so it'll give me a project to do today

DK, I watched the video, but could not see anything. (??) What were you shooting at, and did you get satisfactory groups?

Just finished installing the Tipmann 98 stock adaptor I got from J. Gaska and my new BT TM-15 adj. stock and all I can say is "WOW". Besides the fact that it just looks way cool it also shoulders much nicer, is much more comfortable and the cheek weld on the new AR 15 style stock puts my head and eye in perfect sight alignment with the scope. With the Crosman carbine stock, besides the fact that it always moved a little bit, I always had to lift my head up higher on the stock in order to get a good sight picture through the scope. With the adapter and new Tipmann stock it's rock solid and absolutely perfect. Another benefit is that during the upcoming bow season I plan on bringing my Prod with me into my tree stand because I always have plenty of squirrels running around my stand as I sit there waiting for deer. with the new adjustable stock I will be able to slide the stock in thus greatly reducing the length of the rifle for my trek to my stand. Once I get on stand I can extend the stock and be ready to shoot. No need for me to post a pic,, it looks exactly like the other pics in this thread of Prods with the adapter and new stock. All I can say is if you're looking for a great mod for your Prod then this is it

put my Maurader carbine together today ( BTW # 51 ) ...had to put some electrical tape on the main body of the Buttstock because it had a bit of play and the rattling bugged me, I wasn't able to use the Hogue rubber grip sleeve because the Crosman grip is to thin, the Gun shoots the crosman Ultras real well, but it's so darn quiet that I cant tell I'm shooting
a bit to weak too, have to do something about that

Hi Manny,
I expect to receive my Jim Gaska adapter in a few more days, then I'll see how old #93 responds to it. I think it's great that your pistol is so quiet, but are you saying you've turned the power down too low? Or is it that you've got a really great shroud mod?
darryl
ps thanks for the tip!

I turned the power the power up to 7 turns, I guess the shroud extension really works, remember my other Maurader pistol was pretty loud

I have a fix for you guys with loose stocks. in the ring gap on the end of the stock that lies under the allen set screws do the following.
find an old coat hanger and cut a 10" section out. bend the coat hanger into a ring inside of the ring gap and trim so entire piece fits inside like a piston ring. insert stock into adapter and tighten. wire keeps allens from sinking into soft plastic and getting loose. longer allens will work also but they may beak off the end of the stock. hope this helps my fellow covert varmitiers. woody

The loose stocks are referring to the stock adjustment lock pin. There is a little slop in the guide channel so it doesn't bind up when pushing the adj. lever.

Yep, that slop between the sliding part and the main body was driving me nuts, but some electrical tape as a shim did the job,.....now if I could just stop the pellets rattling in the mag
.......such a bad magazine design, hate it
